Today I successfully avoided much of the Coronavirus Coverage that seems to be haunting at this point.  Even still, the topic undoubtedly comes up with anyone you talk with and anytime you get online.  It seems as though most of us will be receiving our stimulus checks by mid-April, something very much neeeded with 6.6 million Americans filing for unemployment last week.

Just one week ago, 3.3 million Americans filed for unemployment setting all kinds of records for unemployment in this country.  It is difficult to conceive that just one week later and that figure would have doubled.  I do not understand how so many people continue to ignore the history we’re living through.

Today there was only 1 new case in Brunswick County, bringing the total cases now to 23.  Only 225 tests are pending, which makes it easy to conclude they are not testing many new people each day.  457 tests have come back negative and 705 total tests have been administered thus far.  Maybe social distancing is working here. I sure hope so.
