The Talk Is On Opening Despite A Continual "Spike" in numbers
Despite the ongoing talks of “re-opening” the beaches and relaxing some of our “shelter-in-place” standards, the numbers do not seem to be showing any signs of “slowing”. Below are two screenshots from infection2020.com for our state and for the country.
I almost feel like I am living in some alternate reality right now where we are being blinded by our desire to get back to normal. If you show any signs of “hesitation” for relaxing any standards you quickly come under fire. Yet, I believe “getting your hopes up” is rather problematic given the high likelihood the governor actually uses the information the data is providing him (cases still rising). He can’t justifiably relax orders until the cases drop for a prolonged period of time.
To make matters worse, they don’t have a clue what they are doing with testing. I just do not understand how we can re-open blindly and ignorant to what we are dealing with. It is bizarre.
